Characteristics That Differentiate a Veteran Taxi Driver From an Amateur Driver

Taxi driving is one of the renowned and adopted professions in the world. Every country of the world has taxis, and these taxis have drivers. The income of a taxi driver depends upon two factors, the fare, and the tips the driver receives.

Objective of every driver is to increase his income. This is where the professional taxi drivers take the lead over amateur drivers. There are certain characteristics of a professional taxi driver that make him able to earn more compared to ordinary drivers. Some of the characteristics are given below.

Keen Observer- A veteran taxi driver is a keen observer of the city and knows which locations have maximum passengers and at what time. He knows about the theater timings, the school and office closing timings, and every other location and time when he can pick the maximum passengers and in good payment.

Courteous- A good taxi driver is full of courtesy, he greets his passengers with a smile, helps them with taking the luggage to the taxi, and when the passenger is about to get off from the taxi, he would open the door. All these actions make a good impression on the mind of passenger, hence resulting in greater tip.

Obeying Law- The other reason why veteran taxi drivers are successful compared to amateur drivers, because they obey and follow the law in every case. They will not break the law in any case, no matter how the passenger tempts them, or how much he forces them. Therefore, a passenger traveling with such drivers always feels safe.
